Brinton from NCI was a lead author, have performed the study of the death certificates of almost 8000 women, who went through the augmentation surgery and wore implants (silicone or saline), and of over 2000 patients who went through other plastic surgeries. According to it, patients with implants or after any other plastic surgery are much more often noticed to die from pneumonia, emphysema of lungs or lung cancer.
